Partnership for 21st Century Learning

As I viewed the 21st century website, I was amazed at how well the site was put together. I was impresses with how the site keeps an update on the latest programs and events. That information is found on the front page. You don't have to go hunt for current information. It's provided for everyone to view directly on the front page. I like how it gives visitors the opportunity to subscribe and receive email updates. You can just check your email instead of going to the actual site to read about the latest events. I also like how this site breaks down the framework for 21st century learning. The framework is broken down into 4 skill outcomes; life and career skills, learning and innovation skills, information, media, and technology skills, and core subjects and 21st century themes. It's also broken down into 4 skill support systems;

The mission statement for this website is to "serve as a catalyst to position 21st century skills at the center of k-12 education by building collaborative partnerships among education, business, community, and government leaders. I am surprise that there are so many members of the partnership. I am also surprised that there are not any state initiatives for Georgia. There is a 21st century after school program for the students at my school, but I am not sure if it's affiliated with this program. I will have to do a little investigation to see if there is a connection.

Overall, this is a wonderful site that educators can use as a learning and teaching tool. There are an array of on-line resources that are linked to this web-site that I am sure will be useful. I will take my time and see which resource best fit my students and my teaching style. I will share this website with my fellow colleagues at my school. www.21stcenturyskills.org

My blogging Page

Hello world, my name is Olufemi Gordon. I am a middle school physical education and health teacher. I have blogged on several blog sites before, but this is the first blog site that I have created. As I create this blog site, I realize that it is harder than it seems. I am willing to learn how to create a blog site to better myself as an educator. This maybe something that I will be able to use in my health classes. As I move on with this class, I am sure that I will become advanced in blogging as well as other areas in technology. So feel free to comment, share ideas and say what ever you feel that will help me advance in technology. At the same time, I hope to be helpful to anyone that needs assistance in any area of technology that I am familiar with.
